Privacy policy

What this site collects, why, and who else sees it. Written in plain language.

Draft for review before launch.

Who runs this site?

Raquel Builds Workflows is an AI consulting and data analytics business run by Raquel Mercado as a sole proprietor, based on Long Island, New York. In this policy, "Raquel" means the business.

What information does Raquel collect?

Only what you choose to send, plus basic site analytics:

  • Forms. The workflow diagnostic, the founding cohort application, and the newsletter signup collect what you type in. That usually means your name, work email, company, role, company size, and details about one workflow.
  • Bookings. When you book a call, the booking tool collects your name, email, the time you pick, and any notes you add.
  • Email. When you email Raquel, she receives your message and email address.
  • Site analytics. Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed, how you arrived, device type, and approximate region. It uses cookies.

The site does not ask for payment details. Invoices for paid work are handled outside this site.

How is your information used?

  • To read and reply to your diagnostic, application, or message.
  • To schedule and run calls you book.
  • To send the newsletter, if you subscribe.
  • To understand which pages are useful, in totals.
  • To keep records a business is required to keep, such as invoices.

Raquel does not sell your information. She does not use it for advertising profiles.

Who else sees it?

Only the service providers that run the site:

  • Netlify: hosts the site.
  • Web3Forms: emails diagnostic answers and cohort applications to Raquel.
  • Cal.com: runs bookings.
  • Google Analytics 4: site analytics.
  • Kit (newsletter): stores your email address and sends the teardown emails.
  • Google Workspace (Raquel's business email): stores email you send.

Each provider handles data under its own privacy terms. During a paid project, a contracted technical delivery partner may see project data, under the rules on the data handling page.

Raquel may also share information when the law requires it.

What about cookies?

Google Analytics 4 sets cookies to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them. There is no cookie banner because the site sets no advertising or tracking cookies beyond analytics. To opt out of Google Analytics on every site, use Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How long is information kept?

Diagnostic answers, applications, and emails that don't lead to a project are deleted within 24 months. Proposals, contracts, and invoices are kept for 7 years for tax and accounting. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe.

What choices do you have?

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any issue.
  • Ask what Raquel holds about you, or ask her to correct or delete it.
  • Block analytics cookies in your browser.

Depending on where you live, state law may give you more rights over your information. Raquel will honor requests that apply to her.

Is your information secure?

Raquel uses reputable providers and limits access to the accounts that hold your information. No system is perfectly secure, so she can't promise that nothing will ever go wrong.

Is this site meant for children?

No. The site is for business owners and staff. It is not directed at children under 13, and Raquel does not knowingly collect their information.

Will this policy change?

It may. When it does, the date at the bottom changes too.
